You do not have to give us any personal information in order to view then public pages on this website. However, if you would like to submit a question, you will need to submit your email address and name. MDA Members must also use their identification card (IC) number to log in. This is the only information we require. We gather this information to allow us to process any enquiries that you may make.
Our web server may collect certain information such as:
- IP addresses;
- host names;
- domain name;
- the time and date information is requested;
- the browser version and platform when information is requested;
We use this information to produce aggregate visitor statistics in relation to which pages are being accessed. We may also use it to monitor usage patterns on this website in order to improve navigation and design features to help you get information more easily. This information is collated and provided to us as daily log files. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
From MDA Members, Conference Registrants and Other Visitors
To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the MDA's website, members and other users are asked to voluntarily register and/or provide their member login, as well as provide some limited information. The MDA asks members to provide their name, identification card (IC) number, handphone number, office telephone number, mailing address and e-mail. Similar information may be submitted to the MDA through membership applications, conference or seminar registration, subscriptions and contest registrations. The MDA uses this information to enhance its products and distribution of those products to its members.
Information sent by e-mail to the MDA is used to process the request or inquiry in the email.
Membership Registration Forms
Our online registration forms require users to give us contact information (such as name and e-mail address), method of payment and demographic information. We use customer contact information from the registration forms to send the user information about the MDA. The customer's contact information is also used by the MDA to contact the visitor when necessary. Information regarding method of payment is collected for member enrollment, registration and to process orders for products and services.
